Operation's Staff

The Operations Department of Anthony Wayne Local Schools currently oversees the maintenance and plant operations of six schools, Administrative building,  Transportation compound, Maintenance facility and various athletic facilities.  These facilities contain over 340,000 square feet of space on over 230 acres of grounds.

Matt Dick, Director of Operations

I work with District Administration and the Superintendent.  I supervise and evaluate Operations Supervisors and other personnel.  I direct district-wide buildings and grounds services including facility use, custodial services, maintenance and repair, preventive maintenance, project management, contract and vendor management, construction and contractor oversight, energy management, safety and health program compliance, and long range facility and equipment planning.

I assist with the day-to-day operations of the maintenance staff including processing departmental paperwork and payroll, answering telephone and radio calls, dispatching appropriate personnel to buildings for repairs and maintenance, and coordinating district Delivery.

John Dobson, Maintenance Supervisor

I work with Matt Dick, Director of Operations.  I supervise and evaluate building engineers and maintenance staff. I am a "hands-on" supervisor and deal with repair, maintenance, preventive maintenance and operation of HVAC, refrigeration and mechanical systems throughout the District.  I also participate in the evaluation and planning for facility and equipment replacements and upgrades, and monitor contracted work.

I work with Matt Dick, Director of Operations.  I supervise and evaluate maintenance and grounds staff. I am a "hands-on" supervisor and deal with repair, maintenance, preventive maintenance and operation of HVAC and mechanical systems throughout the District.  I also manage grounds maintenance, snow removal, and athletic field maintenance throughout the District.  I participate in the evaluation and planning for facility and equipment replacements and upgrades, and monitor contracted work.

Laura Myerholtz, Custodial Supervisor

I work with the Director of Operations and Maintenance Supervisors. I  supervise and evaluate custodial staff.  I help ensure all AW facilities are clean, sanitary and safe for learning and working.  I monitor district wide facility use and activities by inside and outside groups, and schedule/coordinate personnel for preparation and clean up for activities.  I also help administer safety and health programs, fire safety inspections, and health department issues.

Tom Wolff, Energy Manager

I work with the Director of Operations and all District staff to ensure accountability for energy consumption at every level throughout the District.  I track and evaluate natural gas, electric and water bills and consumption trends. I regularly conduct walk through audits of facilities (both during the school day and well as nights, weekends and holidays) to ensure energy efficiency and compliance with the District Energy Management Program.
