Anthony Wayne Local Schools

Spelling tests are usually each Thursday, but may be on Fridays for short weeks. Students will also have 2 sentences as part of the spelling test. Sentences will include current spelling words, as well as words from previous lists and high frequency words. In addition to being graded on the spelling of words, students will also need to demonstrate correct capitalization and punctuation. Each Monday, students will write their new spelling list onto the front of their Weekly Communicator as we go over the words as a class. Please refer to the spelling lists here, or in the front of your child's assignment notebook, to check over your child’s list, if there is any question to the correct spelling of a word.
