Wellness Committee

About the Program

The Anthony Wayne Local Schools Employee Wellness Committee promotes health, balance, and connection for all staff. Through education, activities, and resources—like mindfulness challenges, fitness initiatives, and staff appreciation events—we support physical, mental, and emotional well-being, fostering a positive workplace and stronger school community.

Fitness Room Information

The AWHS locker room and weight room areas are available for staff use Monday through Friday from 5:15 to 7:15 a.m. during the school year and 5:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on the weekends. Please be aware this schedule is subject to change. Please review the fitness center use guidelines and complete the access request form before your first visit.

Free Nutrition Guidance

Employees can schedule personalized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) with Michelle Cleland, Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. Michelle provides individualized guidance on healthy eating, blood sugar management, and medical weight management to help you build sustainable habits that support your overall well-being. This service is free as part of our benefits package. See informational flyer for full details.
