During the week of February 20th, the Anthony Wayne -Penta FFA Chapter celebrated FFA Week. During the week students stopped into the ag room for donuts from Momma C’s before school, hosted a staff luncheon of all Ohio-made food products, and participated in a Day of Service at Sunshine Communities.
Chapter degrees were also awarded to second-year members who met all of the chapter degree requirements. These activities focused on the three quality standards of agricultural education: building communities, strengthening agriculture, and growing leaders.
Carol Beck, a second-year FFA member, said “ The experience at Sunshine Communities was fun. We learned a lot about their community, and we got to meet many new people and help with a good cause.”
Anthony Wayne FFA is a satellite of Penta Career Center.
AWHS FFA Members enjoyed working in the barn and greenhouse at Sunshine Communities.
