Fallen Timbers students wrote poems to honor those who have served in the military. The pieces below were selected to be read for the entire student body on Veterans Day.
Honor and Prideby Kadee Stamm
On Veterans Day we honor all,
Who answered to a service call
Soldiers young, and soldiers old,
Fought for freedom, brave and bold
Some have lived, while others died,
And all of them deserve our pride
We're proud of all the soldiers who,
Kept thinking of the red, white, and blue
They fought for us and all our rights
And though we may not know each by name,
We thank all veterans just the same
My Hero

Words are not enough
to thank our veterans.
Without their courage,
We cannot call ourselves Americans.
On Veterans Day,
we thank them for their service
When they didn't call home
we got very nervous.
We express our gratitude
for they risked their lives.
So when you walk past them
be sure to give them thanks and high fives.
