The Anthony Wayne Junior High–Penta Career Center chapter of FCCLA had an incredible showing at this year’s State Leadership Conference, held April 24–25 at Kasich Hall at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, OH. The largest FCCLA event of the year, the state conference brings together members from across the state for career development competitions, leadership training, service learning and networking opportunities.
This year, every student who attended brought home a trophy:
Sophie Caños, First Place: Nutrition and Wellness
Allison Geckle, First Place: Career Investigation
Karis Doro and Bryan Hubbard, First Place: Food Innovations
Karter Rinker, Second Place: Promote & Publicize FCCLA
Hailey Thomas and Tiffany Thomas, Third Place: Repurpose & Redesign
Congratulations to all our competitors, and advisor Kay-Lynne Schaller for their incredible achievements and the leadership demonstrated at this year’s conference!
