Sponsored by the Educational Service Center of Lake Erie West, the annual I Make a Difference Awards celebrates academic excellence and the educators who inspire it. Each year, valedictorians and salutatorians from every public school district in Lucas County select a teacher who had a lasting impact on their education.
This year, Anthony Wayne High School’s top graduates, Mallory Rettig and Ryan Sutter, both graduating summa cum laude, recognized two standout educators. Mallory honored Mr. Jeremy Terwilliger, while Ryan selected Mr. Justin Zemanski—both are social studies teachers at AWHS.
Their nominations underscore the meaningful role teachers play in shaping future leaders and we congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition.
