FCCLA Students Finish Strong at Nationals

Anthony Wayne High School and Junior High students had a strong showing at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference held in Seattle, WA from June 29-July 3. Twelve students placed Top 10 in the nation in their competitions and an additional four students earned gold awards. Two students brought home first place awards, and AWHS junior Grant Hubley was elected to serve as FCCLA First Vice President for the 2024-25 school year.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a Career and Technical student organization. Through participation in competitive events, becoming involved in community service opportunities, engaging in student leadership and attending leadership conferences, students develop real world skills, explore career pathways and become college- and career-ready.

The Family Consumer Sciences class and FCCLA are satellite programs of Penta Career Center. The students are advised by Mrs. Amanda Valdez, FCS Teacher at Anthony Wayne High School and Mrs. Kay-Lynne Schaller, FCS Teacher at Anthony Wayne Junior High.
