Three Anthony Wayne Local Schools Buildings Earn Purple Star Designation Renewals

Anthony Wayne Local Schools today learned that three of its schools earned renewal designations as Purple Star Schools from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) for their commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families. 

Waterville Primary School, Fallen Timbers Middle School and Anthony Wayne High School each received a three-year renewal as a part of the statewide Purple Star Class of 2024. Congratulations to the Military Family Liaisons serving in these schools for being recognized for their volunteer efforts:

To be considered, schools must meet specific criteria established by the Ohio DEW that demonstrates a major commitment to identifying and supporting military-connected students and their families.

Anthony Wayne is proud that each of its buildings is a Purple Star designated school for the initiatives and programs in place designed to meet the unique needs of the more than 100 students districtwide who have a loved one serving in a branch of the U.S military.
