Waterville Primary School will receive $15,000 from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation to support its project entitled, Leveraging Instruction Achieves Literacy. The funds will allow the school to continue its implementation of Structured Literacy, Science of Reading and equity-based literacy instruction.
Specifically, the school will provide advanced Wilson Level 1 credentialing to 1 - 2 teachers and purchase Geodes Literacy Coordinator Kits aligned with Wilson Fundations. The training and supplies will be used to provide evidence-aligned instruction that supports decoding skills, language comprehension to support emerging and skilled readers across all content areas.
