VIDEO: Waterville Students Attend Science Symposium
Twenty-three third grade students from Waterville Primary School took part in the 2023 GLOBE in the Prairie Student Research Symposium hosted by The Toledo Zoo on May 23. Among the youngest student to attend, this unique opportunity allowed students to present information about the native prairie at Waterville Primary and share the research they have conducted as a part of Project Prairie. They also introduced some of the potential new inquiries that students will launch during the 23-24 school year.

Waterville Primary School is one of more than 30 northwest Ohio schools who participate in Project Prairie. It is an inquiry-based education program that trains students and their teachers to use native prairie habitats for citizen science projects that contribute to a larger body of global research to make a difference in the natural world.
