Anticipated Changes to the School Meal Program for 2022-23
While we are still awaiting an official announcement, we anticipate that the school meal program funding for 2022-23 will return to its pre-pandemic guidelines.
What you should know now
Advocates continue to push Congress to extend pandemic relief funds that provide free school meals for all students, but:
- Meals provided at school could return to family pay with funds accepted via PaySchoolsCentral.com, cash or check
- The Free and Reduced meal program will continue for families who qualify. (Applications available in mid-July.)
