Carly Hemmelgarrn, AWHS Sophomore art student will receive a $500 scholarship after receiving the most votes and being named Best in Show in the Apple Art Window contest at Franklin Park Mall. She was selected to be a part of the contest following the highly competitive FOCUS Art Show, featuring the best high school artists from northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.
Other local winners include:
- $250 First Runner Up - Zita Lucarelli, “Hey!”, Bedford High School, Instructor Jason Sanderson
- $100 Second Runner Up - Paige Yustick, “Hearing”, Maumee Valley Country Day School, Instructor Kristin Kowalski
Each student will receive a scholarship to use toward advancing their skill and passion a VISA gift card.
