Fifth grade students at Fallen Timbers Middle School embarked on a journey to space that put their critical thinking, collaboration and communications skills to the test. Led by their teachers and parent volunteers, students took part in a number of experiments, simulations, problem-solving challenges and other hands-on STEM activities that encouraged them to consider the many obstacles that scientists must overcome when traveling to, living in and researching in space.
Space Day is only possible with the help from the many volunteers who are gracious with their time. Thank you to the nearly 50 individuals who helped our students journey to space and the dozens of others who provided donations to help make the day a success!
