The Portrait of a General

The Anthony Wayne Local Schools Portrait of a General was developed in partnership with our stakeholders and represents our community's aspirations for the characteristics all Anthony Wayne graduates should possess, including: adaptability and flexibility, collaboration and communication, critical thinking, empathy and a learner's mindset.

Our staff strive to model these characteristics and encourage students to become the best version of themselves by providing rigorous academics, outstanding activities and programs in a supportive, positive learning environment.

Awards & Acknowledgements

	The coveted National Blue Ribbon School Award recognizes high-performing public and private schools for their academic excellence and providing students with challenging and engaging content. Awarded to: Waterville Primary School, Fallen Timbers Middle School
	Hall of Fame Schools are identified by the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators as providing outstanding educational opportunities through effective programming and instruction and are characterized by an atmosphere of growth, achievement, pride, and a dedication to excellence on the part of staff and students. Awarded to: Waterville Primary School
	The Ohio STEAM School Designation recognizes schools who are exemplars of providing opportunities for students to use science, technology, engineering, arts/humanities, and mathematics concepts to make authentic connections between school, community, and work experiences. Awarded to: Waterville Primary School
	The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce recognizes schools who go above and beyond to support the unique needs of military-connected students and their families. Awarded to: Monclova, Waterville and Whitehouse Primaries, Fallen Timbers Middle School, Anthony Wayne Junior High and Anthony Wayne High School.

Anthony Wayne Local Schools earned 4.5 stars on the 2023 Ohio School Report Cards and scored in the top 7% of all school districts and our outstanding building scores rank among the best in the state.

Published in September each year, the annual Quality Profile is a publication provided to our stakeholders to provide an overview of the many activities and successes of our students during the school year.
