Facilities Master Plan

District Permanent Improvement Projects

Investing in Our Schools' Future

We are committed to maintaining and improving our school facilities to provide the best possible learning environment for our students. This page provided to provide information about major facilities improvement projects across the District, including estimated costs and timelines.

Facilities Master Plan

A Facilities Master Plan guides the long-term maintenance and management of school buildings and properties to meet current and future needs. In May 2022, Anthony Wayne Local Schools partnered with The Collaborative, a local architecture firm, to develop a Facilities Master Plan. The firm’s recommendations were presented to the public in May 2023.

Important Note

Project costs may fluctuate as designs are finalized and projects go through the bidding process. The District is committed to making fiscally responsible decisions and managing costs carefully. Estimates will be updated as new information becomes available.

Project Funding

About the Permanent Improvement Fund

Permanent Improvement (PI) funds support long-term investments in school facilities, infrastructure and equipment. By law, these funds can only be used for improvements with a useful life of at least five years.

Anthony Wayne Local Schools receives PI funding through inside millage. Of the District’s 4.3 mills of inside millage, 2.2 mills are designated for Permanent Improvements, generating approximately $3.4 million annually.
These funds help maintain safe, functional and up-to-date learning environments while supporting responsible long-term financial planning.
