Nine AWJH students qualify for national FCCLA conference

The AWJH-Penta Chapter of FCCLA presented their projects at the Ohio FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Columbus, OH on April 25-26. This group of talented students brought home six first place awards and two second place awards. Nine will advance to the National Leadership Conference.

The chapter also received the following awards:
  • Go for the Red
  • Ohio Families First
  • National Programs in Action
  • Power of One  (x2)

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national career technical education organization that provides opportunities for students to develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge and career preparation.

The Anthony Wayne Junior High chapter of FCCLA is a satellite program of Penta Career Center. Students are advised by Mrs. Kay-Lynne Schaller, Family Consumer Sciences Teacher.
