Anthony Wayne High School Families,
Beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, Ohio Law requires schools in the State of Ohio to provide developmentally-appropriate instruction about dating violence prevention, sexual violence prevention, and suicide awareness and prevention to students in grades 7 through 12 each year.
AWHS has chosen to use Erika’s Lighthouse and FightChildAbuse.org to fulfill these mandatory requirements. High School Counselors will present Erika’s Lighthouse to students beginning April 22 and FightChildAbuse.org materials will be introduced before the end of the school year.
Following both programs, school counselors are available for further discussions and follow-up as requested.
