Greetings Anthony Wayne Junior High Families,
Students did a wonderful job with our Ohio State Tests this week. Students will continue with the math tests next week. Please make sure your student has a well-charged body and Chromebook! It is always important that students get a good night’s rest and a nutritious breakfast. Please remind your student to plug in their Chromebook in the evening so that it is charged and ready to be used.
Ohio State Test Dates
- Math Testing (Math 7, Math 8, Algebra I, Geometry): April 16 & 18
- Science Testing (Science 8, Biology): April 23 & 25

Ohio Military Family Spirit Week
April is the month of the military child, so let’s paint the town purple! The week of April 15th, we will be holding a spirit week in honor of our military families. Please be mindful on testing days that we want students to be comfortable and not a distraction to themselves or others: - Monday, April 15th: Purple Up! Day
- Tuesday, April 16th: Red, White, and Blue Day* (Testing Day)
- Wednesday, April 17th: Support your favorite military branch
- Thursday, April 18th: Camouflage aka “Digi” (digital) Day* (Testing Day)
- Friday, April 19th: Wear R.E.D. (Remember Everyone Deployed)
AWJH Volleyball Player/Parent Meeting
Any current 6th and 7th grade students interested in participating in JH volleyball this fall are invited to attend a player/parent meeting Wednesday April 17 in the JH cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. See the attached flyer for contact information.
Spring Season
As the weather warms up, we will see an increased number of students commuting to and from campus before and after school. Please be mindful if driving on campus or near campus of our walkers, bike readers, and student athletes. We are excited for the warmer weather!
