Two Fallen Timbers Middle School students recognized at Breakfast of Champions

smith, smith and watsonTwo sixth-grade students from Fallen Timbers Middle School were recognized for their outstanding character, scholarship, leadership and service at the Northwest Ohio Regional Breakfast of Champions on March 20. Tenley Smith and Cooper Watson were honored by the Ohio Middle Level Association at a ceremony held at the Mazza Museum on the campus of the University of Findlay.

Tenley and Cooper were nominated for the award for their commitment to their academic success, positive leadership and willingness to help others. They regularly demonstrate the Portrait of a General competencies of learner's mindset, critical thinking, communication and collaboration, adaptability and flexibility and empathy. 

The students, their two guests and FTMS Principal, Matt Smith were served breakfast and heard from keynote speaker Dr. Scott Grant who spoke to them about establishing their "character brand." Tenley and Cooper each received a framed certificate.
