AWHS Esports Team Takes Third Place at Regionals

Congratulations to the Anthony Wayne High School Esports team for taking third place at the regional level of competition! The tournament was held at Cedar Point's Sports Center, with game play streamed via Cedar Point eSports, YouTube and Twitch.

The team fell to Perkins in the final seconds of the last game in the five-game series.

"The commentator, crew and other teams said it was the best game of the entire event due to the dramatic comeback and finish," said Bryan DeKay, AWHS eSports coach. "We have set the bar really high for our first full year of competition, and I'm excited to see what these players can continue to accomplish."

Team members include Josh Micham, captain; Trevor Kiser, Kamden Lengel, Blake Ledyard and Blake Mohr.
