Senior Awards Night

Anthony Wayne HIgh School held its annual Senior Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 9. Students were recognized for their academic, athletic and community service accomplishments. A list of the awards and scholarships presented is below.

Summa cum Laude

This recognition is awarded to students who have earned an accumulative GPA of 4.500 and higher through seven semesters.

The AWHS Academic Departments select outstanding students to be recognized for their academic achievement. There are three levels of recognition.

Special Recognition Awards: to students who have made achievements worthy of mention in the department.
Departmental Honors: students who rank in the top ten percent of students in their academic department.
Outstanding Departmental Honors: students who achieve above and beyond the criteria outlined for Department Honors.
