Members of the Penta-Anthony Wayne DECA team traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete at the International Career Development Conference. Each year, more than 20,000 high school students, teacher-advisors, business professionals and alumni gather to learn leadership skills, hear from dynamic speakers and demonstrate their knowledge in the competitive events program.

The following students represented Anthony Wayne High School:
Evan Stigall and Sammy Rodriguez - Business Law and Ethics Team Management
Blake Luther and Luke Essig - Financial Services Team Management
Ally Roberts and Hannah Johnson - Integrated Marketing Campaign (Service)
Mallori Pollock - Integrated Marketing Campaign (Event)
Helena Goodwin - Marketing Communications Series Event
Will Luther - Accounting Applications Series Event

AWHS Senior, Blake Luther was awarded a $2,500 DECA Scholarship from the National Retail Federation and Walgreens.

The AWHS DECA chapter is a satellite program of Penta Career Center. The advisor is Mrs. Becky Stutz. The District is grateful for this continued partnership that allows students to have opportunities to participate in these leadership and skills competitions.
