The American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund was enacted as a part of the American Rescue Plan and provides nearly $122 billion to states and school districts nationwide.
These funds were made available for limited use by Local Education Agencies (LEA) to address the safe reopening and operation of schools, and to address learning loss as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The federal guidelines addressing the allowable uses for these funds are available on the Ohio Department of Education website.
