November Letter to Families

November 1, 2023

Anthony Wayne Families,

The month of November reminds us it’s the season of gratitude. It is a time that reminds us to reflect on the many blessings and opportunities we have in our lives, especially in this fast-paced time that we live in. Too often, it can be easy to get caught up in the day-to-day challenges and demands. We often find ourselves looking forward to the next milestone, the next achievement, or the next break.

This month provides us with the opportunity to step back and be thankful for the present moment.

Anthony Wayne Local Schools is an AWesome district made up of a community of school staff, students, families, businesses, organizations and area residents. Our District excels thanks to the tireless efforts of each District employee in collaboration with the support from students, family and the greater community. Together we work to provide the best possible education for our students.

I encourage you to take a moment this November to reflect on the countless reasons we have to be grateful. Let’s remember to take the time to express our appreciation for:

  • the teachers, administrators, bus drivers and transportation staff, secretaries, custodians, aides, food service workers, support personnel, grounds workers, operations staff and substitute employees for the work they do with and for our students.

  • the many parent and community volunteers who give their time and talents to support learning.

  • the parents and caregivers for all they do to encourage and support their child’s learning and participation in school activities.

  • the many student achievements in and out of the classroom that have taken place already this school year.

This month, please take a moment to say thanks to those around you for their contributions to our school community.

Better still, let’s carry the spirit of gratitude beyond November and make it a year-round practice. When we appreciate and support one another, our District continues to be a positive environment where excellence thrives and our students flourish.

Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of our students and the future of our district.

Gratefully yours,

Dr. Jim Fritz, Superintendent
Anthony Wayne Local Schools
