What is Child Find?
Child Find is the process of locating, evaluating and identifying children with disabilities who may need special education and related services. We are committed to locating, identifying and providing a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) for all children with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 22.
Location and referral of such children may be initiated by anyone with knowledge of the child and suspecting the child may have a disability. At any time you suspect your child has a disability, you may request an evaluation with the district.
All referrals should be made in writing, dated at the time the request is made and include information that supports the reason for referral. Referrals should be mailed or emailed to the building principal and school psychologist.
