About Your Anthony Wayne Local Schools Board Members


Jeff Baden, Vice President


Jeff Baden was re-elected for his third term beginning in 2024, after completing two terms that began in January 2016. He previously served as co-chairman of the AWLS levy committee, two years as Board President and four years as Board Vice President.

 

Jeff has lived in Whitehouse for more than 24 years with his wife Tina. Their three children graduated from Anthony Wayne High School and Penta Career Center.


He has a Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering from Ohio University (1994) and an MBA from the University of Findlay (2011). He is employed as a Senior Program Manager for Dana Inc. in Maumee. 


Jeff is an active member and past president of the Waterville Rotary Club where he participates in many community projects and activities. He is also an active member and financial chairman at Community of Christ Lutheran Church in Whitehouse. Jeff enjoys all outdoor activities, especially biking and running. He is also a hobby woodworker and mechanic.





Lindsay Hoipkemier

An eight-year resident of the AW community, Lindsay was elected to serve on the Anthony Wayne Local Schools Board of Education in November 2023.

She and her husband Ben live in Waterville and have three children who attend Waterville Primary School, Fallen Timbers Middle School, AW Junior High. Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design and a minor in Psychology from Bob Jones University, and is a self-employed interior designer. She also serves as a substitute teacher at Monclova Christian Academy.

Lindsay's faith in Jesus Christ is the central focus of her life. She is an active member of Monclova Road Baptist Church, where she volunteers in the children's ministry. She is also a Lucas County Children Services licensed foster parent, serves as a parent volunteer and has taken part in medical missions trips.

Her hobbies include playing board games, decorating, playing putt-putt golf, reading, visiting new coffee shops and vacationing with her family at the beach.

Kyle Miller, President


Kyle Miller was first elected to the Board in November 2021 and began serving his term beginning in January 2022. 


He is no stranger to the Anthony Wayne Local Schools, as he has been a resident in the area for over 20 years. Kyle graduated from Anthony Wayne High School in 2012 where he met his wife, Addie. They have two children and a Catahoula/Labrador Retriever named Winston. He currently works part-time as a Firefighter/EMT for Monclova Township while also serving as an Account Manager/Compliance Director at Reliable Drug Testing Clinic full-time. He has previously served on the Central Committee for Waterville District 1 and as President of the Monclova Firefighters Association. 


Kyle enjoys spending time with his family and cheering on the Buckeyes, Bears and Capitals. Kyle is thrilled to contribute to Anthony Wayne and its continued prosperity in the education of their students and looks forward to contributing to the enhancement of the history and values of the Anthony Wayne education system.





Shellie McKnight

A longtime resident of the Anthony Wayne Local Schools district, Shellie McKnight was elected to serve on the Board in November 2023. 


She is a retired reading and special education teacher. She attended The Ohio State University and earned her Bachelor of Science in French/English Education from Bowling Green State University. She also earned a Masters Degree in English and ABD in Speech/Rhetoric from BGSU.

Shellie has two adult children who graduated from AWHS and now live in Durango, Colorado. She is active in the AW community, having volunteered with Nature's Nursery and the Anthony Wayne Area Democratic Club. She enjoys reading, gardening, dancing, traveling and writing.




Mike Stamm

Mike Stamm was elected for his first term to the AWLS Board of Education in November 2023.

A resident of the AW community for the last 10 years, Mike is connected to the District through his wife, Kristen who is employed at AWJH and his three children who attend Fallen Timbers Middle School, AW Junior High and AWHS.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University and is employed as a project engineer at Cleveland Cliffs. Mike also volunteers with the Anthony Wayne Youth Foundation (AWYF) and assists with the youth programs at CedarCreek Church. 


In his spare time, he enjoys being a part of F3 Black Swamp, a men's leadership and fitness group, practicing his golf game, and playing, coaching and refereeing various sports.
