Our School Community
Waterville Primary School is a place where students can grow under the guidance of highly qualified teachers and staff who are committed to helping students grow academically, socially and behaviorally. With a focus on high-quality academics and being individuals who are respectful, responsible and safe, our school is filled with enthusiasm for learning.
Engaging Academics
Our friendly and motivated staff has high expectations for each student and are dedicated to providing enriching educational experiences that not only meet content standards, but also offer opportunities to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students are encouraged to learn and grow through engaging hands-on lessons, exciting technology and opportunities for leadership and service.
We are proud to be recognized as among the best elementary schools in the state, earning 4.5 stars on the state report card and a performance index score that places us in the top 3% of elementary schools in Ohio (based on 2023 data). Waterville Primary is also an Ohio STEAM Designated School and a National Blue Ribbon School.
Open Communication and Opportunities for Collaboration
Family and community volunteers are an important part of our school community! The Waterville Parents Association (WPA) is an outstanding organization that continuously seeks ways to support the academic and social growth of our students. Volunteers also support students and teachers by serving as classroom helpers or tutors.
About Our Building
Waterville Primary School was constructed in 1997 and is home to around 500 students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Our staff takes pride in our school and works hard to ensure it is well-maintained, clean and safe. We are excited to provide exciting learning spaces for students including our native prairie, an outdoor land lab, and a makerspace lab for 3D printing, robotics and other STEAM-related exploration.
