fccla

FCCLA: Family, Career and Community Leaders of America
This career technical student organization focuses on leadership in the areas career, family and community. You will participate in community service projects and can develop your own independent projects to present in front of panels of judges to earn an opportunity to travel to the state and national levels of competition.
You must be enrolled in a Family & Consumer Sciences class to be a member.

FFA students

FFA
This organization focuses on leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
You must be enrolled in AFNR 1 or STEM Connect to be a member.

jazz band

Jazz / Pep Band
Open to all 7th and 8th grade band students, you will meet after school to prepare for performances at the December and March concerts and a special performance with the AWHS Jazz Band.
Advisor: Mr. Ladd

quit team

Quiz Team
Compete against students from other area schools as you demonstrate your knowledge of literature, geography, spelling, math and current events. The season runs October through November.
Advisor: Mrs. Bauer

AWJH student council representatives

Student Council
Represent your classmates and work with others to plan student events and fundraisers, spirit weeks, community service projects and more.

writing club

Writers Workshop
If you want to take your writing skills to the next level, drop in to workshop story drafts, develop your craft and understand the publishing process. Learn how to take your ideas from your mind to the page, refine your skills and prepare to send your work to an editor.
Advisor: Mr. Bolone

yearbook staff

Yearbook
You will attend school events, classes and clubs to help tell the story of the school year by taking photos, conducting interviews and writing pieces for the annual yearbook.
